3D anaglyph tutorial
Posted by Administrator | Filed under Anaglyph, Tutorials, Video
By far the highest hits to our site are those that relate our 3D anaglyph projects – the Sliced Bread Christmas game and a movie for a ‘well known cosmetic enhancement’ product. Rather than re-invent the wheel, here is a tutorial on how you can do a simple image in After Effects (its how we did it). Later this week I will post on the set-up in Maya in order to create a 3D animation movie sequence.

Hint: Use the ‘Balanced Red Blue LR’ for the best 3D effect.
Some animation basics online
Posted by Administrator | Filed under Animation, Tutorials
Access to some really great basic tutorials is somewhat lacking online (I think), so these ones should be useful for any budding young animator:
DigiCel has teamed up with Larry’s Toon Institute to bring you the best in online animation lessons. These lessons are designed to help you learn to draw and animate so you can get the most out of your FlipBook program. Larry’s Toon Institute was created by Larry Lauria, one of the most respected animators and animation teachers.
We are developing twelve lessons designed to teach aspiring animators the most important things you need to learn to become a good animator. You can order each lesson one-at-a-time, as soon as you’re ready for it. Each lesson includes PDF handouts, DigiCel Scene files and instruction videos so you can watch Larry doing exactly what you need to do to learn to animate.
